Finished Crochet Blanket Size: 38″ by 38″

My cousin Cindy is having a baby!  Always an exciting time when the family is expecting its newest tiny member!  I’m so thrilled that she’s going to be joining the mom club!  It’s a pretty awesome club.

Her due date is in April, but I got an early start on the baby gift so I can give it to her for Christmas next month!  She actually lives in Thailand and is flying in for a cousin’s wedding and staying through Christmas.  Exciting!!!

Crochet Baby Afghan Patterns

It’s going to be a baby girl!  I wanted something that looks and feels soft.  I chose to make a white crochet blanket, trimmed with a pretty purple ribbon.

I’m so delighted with the outcome of the finished blanket!  So flowy and drapey (are these real words?)!  I sure hope baby loves it.

Crochet Scalloped Edges

Scalloped edges.  My favorite finishing for a blanket.

Crochet Edgings

A pretty bow, for a pretty little girl.

Of course, as soon as I finish any blanket, Mr. Poofs comes in for quality control.

If you would like to make this afghan for your loved one, I’ve written a tutorial and pattern for it here!  I hope you love it!

Thanks for letting me share!  :)

  • Sue - The afghan is beautiful!
What i particularly LOVED about your pattern, is that i clicked on the picture – it took me right to the website and right to the pattern.
I didn’t have to go through 10 websites to find it and then scroll through the website to find the actual pattern -or get directed to etsy or pinterest only to find that the pattern is unavailable. It was very simple and i REALLY appreciate that – as well as you sharing the pattern. It is very beautiful.
