Mason Jar Plants – A Mother’s Day Gift

Mason Jar Plants, Hydroponics, Mother

It’s Mother’s Day tomorrow and to help celebrate the day, I put together these cute mason jar plants to gift to my mom.  Takes less than 10 minutes and I think mom will be very happy!  💕

Materials Used:

  • Mason Jars (16 oz.) – Make sure it has lids with the removable insert.
  • Burlap Ribbon with Lace
  • Sheer Ribbon
  • Hot Glue Gun – My weapon of choice.
  • 2″ Net Pots – Little pots that suspend the plant in water.
  • 1″ Rockwool Cubes – Mostly used in hydroponic planting to use in place of soil.  It holds the plant upright.
  • Clay Pebbles – Covers the rockwool and roots, and also, it looks nice.
  • Plant Seedlings – I grew these little plants myself, starting 5 weeks ago.  On the left we have mini jalapeno, and on the right is sweet basil.  You don’t have to grow the seedlings yourself.  You can always just pick up the baby plants from Home Depot.  😉

Place your little baby plants in the rockwool and net pot, top with clay pebbles, insert in mason jar, and finish with a pretty ribbon! 🎀

To all my mom friends out there, have a very lovely Mother’s Day.  💐

Susie 🤗✨
