By the way, the fabric is Miss Kate by Bonnie and Camille for Moda.  Gorgeous fabric!  I bought it in bulk because I’m in love with it.  Seriously.

Good night Craftland.  I love you.

  • Lisa Lindeman - Is it possible to receive or purchase the quilt pattern for your “Circle of Stars” quilt? If this pattern is included in a book, I would also be interested in purchasing the book. I am interested in making this quilt to donate for our local cancer walk. Thank you for your time.May 1, 2016 – 6:49 amReplyCancel

Crochet Granny Squares Free Pattern

In 2009, when I was pregnant with Logi, I felt ambitious and wanted to make a crochet granny square blanket.  I fantasized about it being of many different colors and very large.  I imagine it would’ve taken about 200 of these little squares to get it to a good comfy throw size.  I worked and worked on it each night, switching up colors, tying those little knots up good and tight.  Something must have come up because I never finished putting this blanket together.

Fast forward 5 years and I’m cleaning out my drawers.  I found my long lost granny squares!  Hmm… I only made 7 of these little guys???  I swear, it felt like I made so many more!  Well, I don’t think I have the craze for granny squares as much as I did 5 years ago but it would seem like such a waste to stuff them back in the drawers, never to see daylight again.

I’ve decided to decorate my apartment with them.  A cute little bunting banner for our cute little apartment.

Handmade Minion Hats

This Halloween, we decided to all be Minions from the Despicable Me movie.  We thought it would be super cute if we all matched so I made little Minion beanies for everyone.  Pretty cute, right???  I’m so happy with the way they turned out.

My friend Karen is pregnant and I just got word that it’s a girl!  She isn’t due until March 2015 but I couldn’t wait to get a start on making a baby blanket for her and the new arrival!  I used charm squares called Celebration by Bunny Hill Designs for Moda.  It is CUTE!!!  Love pastels!  It reminds me of Easter, and the baby will be here just in time to celebrate Easter!

I alternated the celebration squares with white squares.  A very simple and easy design.Celebration Baby Blanket (2 of 9) Finished blanket top!Celebration Baby Blanket (3 of 9)That little pink sheep is so adorable!
